No Big Five
At The Outpost they strive to offer guests a total experience, where enjoying the little things is central. The safari tours do not aim to spot the Big Five. However, a lot of attention is also paid to small animals and natural details. Here you are guaranteed a unique and surprising safari experience. The serene tranquility here is unparalleled in the usually busy Kruger Park.
Hotel rooms with panoramic views
At The Outpost you can choose from four unique room types. Each hotel room is detached, has electrically operated screens and a panoramic view. Choose the sheltered Bush View Spaces, enjoy the luxurious treehouse feel in the Treetop Spaces, admire guaranteed views of the hippos in the River View Spaces, or enjoy a romantic safari experience in The Honeymoon Space.
On a safari
You will go on a safari adventure twice a day. In the early morning you explore the wilderness and enjoy a bush coffee in one of the world’s most beautiful places. You will always remember this unique coffee moment. Around eight o’clock you return to the hotel, where breakfast is ready for you. Choose from the breakfast menu, which means they minimize food waste. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure, where you can enjoy a wonderful massage or relax by the pool. In the late afternoon, a guide will pick you up again for the second safari of the day, allowing you to enjoy one of the world’s most beautiful sunsets while savouring a drink.

Where to go
The Outpost Lodge is located on top of a rocky ridge and close to the border with Zimbabwe and Mozambique. From Johannesburg it is approximately a 7-hour drive. However, for a more luxurious travel experience to The Outpost, you can also land at the Pafuri airstrip with Echo Skies.
