Are you looking for a good hotel on Okinawa for your next holiday? Then you’ve come to the right place! I recently stayed at a small-scale hotel on this beautiful island. Read on if you are looking for a quietly located hotel with atmosphere and sea views on Okinawa.

With its breathtaking beaches, crystal clear waters and rich culture, Okinawa is a paradise destination that attracts many travelers every year. Whether you want to dive in the beautiful coral reefs, enjoy local delicacies or relax on the beach, Okinawa has it all.

A hotel with a unique location

The hotel I recommend is not only comfortable accommodation, but also has a unique location overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You can be sure that your stay in Okinawa will be unforgettable at this hotel.

So what are you waiting for? Read more below about the unique hotel called Villa Sachibaru on Okinawa and prepare yourself for a holiday full of relaxation, fun and unforgettable experiences.

Dream away at Villa Sachibaru

Discover the peace and beauty of Villa Sachibaru, your ideal retreat on Okinawa. Located in Nanjo in the southeastern part of the island, this charming beach hotel offers a serene environment with beautiful sea views and lush nature, all within a short distance from the beach. Don’t expect crowds or high-rise buildings here – Villa Sachibaru is all about peace and comfort. Enjoy a relaxing stay in one of the three detached hotel rooms and leave the stress of everyday life behind you. By car it is only half an hour’s drive from the capital Naha, so your oasis of peace is always within reach.

One with nature

Surrounded by lush hibiscus flowers, where colorful butterflies flutter happily, there are three unique hotel rooms. Each of these rooms, actually three separate houses with their own authentic Okinawan names, is an oasis of peace. One thing was central to the design of these accommodations: seamless integration with the surrounding nature.

Large windows offer panoramic views of the vast Pacific Ocean, while the interiors of the wooden houses have been carefully decorated to create a feeling of warmth and comfort. Each apartment is fully equipped with all the essentials, including kitchenware and a refrigerator, to make you feel right at home. All of this is meant to make you feel like you are both at home and on the beautiful tropical island of Okinawa.

Villa Nikeya

Our stay at the beautifully designed Villa Nikeya was a real pleasure. The name means “two-storey house”, and that’s exactly what it is.

Upon entering the first floor you are immediately greeted by the spacious bedroom, complete with a large bed and access to a balcony. The natural materials from which the house is made give it a Scandinavian look that is immediately noticeable. Adjacent to the bedroom is the spacious bathroom, equipped with a luxurious walk-in shower, a spacious bath, a traditional Japanese toilet and an elegant sink. Here we discovered the wonderful scent of the Muji diffuser, which filled the room with a pleasant scent.

On the next floor, the spaciousness of the house becomes even more apparent. The large windows provide breathtaking sea views and allow for full opening, seamlessly blending indoors and outdoors. Definitely an unforgettable experience!

Activities & facilities

We visited Villa Sachibaru in March and although the weather was already pleasant – around 20 to 25 degrees – it was not yet really swimming weather. But on a hot summer day you can certainly enjoy the beach at Hamabe no Chaya restaurant, where you can also have a delicious breakfast in the morning. During the day you can have lunch here or enjoy a drink at sunset.

Villa Sachibaru is a place where you have to find your own entertainment, and having a car is ideal. Although the hotel organizes various activities, such as massages, yoga, walks through the tropical garden and stargazing at night, you are largely on your own. You can possibly borrow a bicycle from reception and explore the island. During our stay, the hotel organized a food truck festival on Saturday evening, featuring music and local delicacies, attracting many islanders.

In short, if you like silence, nature and tranquility, and you have your own transport, then Villa Sachibaru is the ideal accommodation for you on Okinawa.
