During my very first trip to South Africa, armed with a borrowed camera, I tried to capture every accommodation we stayed at as beautifully as possible. Not because I had to, but because those places simply deserved to be photographed. Since then, it has become a habit for me: wherever I sleep, my camera goes with me. From passion to professional creation
After years of practice, I got the chance to work for a company that produced real estate content. I quickly discovered that the work was more about speed than quality. When my contract was not renewed, it actually felt like an opportunity: I could finally focus completely on my own style and passion again. I continued taking photos, started filming more and more (just with my phone), and started sharing my work on social media. Over time, I discovered that I especially enjoy photographing interiors, hotels and holiday homes. Much happier than the weddings that I used to regularly capture. And so the idea slowly but surely arose to take this more seriously.
And now… UGC content for the travel industry
I have currently started creating User Generated Content (UGC) for hotels, holiday homes and travel gadgets from Japan. From September 2025 I will be back in the Netherlands, and I want to further expand this work there. My UGC portfolio is now finished and can be viewed here.
